Important tip: Whichever receptacle/outlet/socket (Type A or B) you plan to plug the grounding cable into, you must ensure that the receptacle itself is properly grounded. Even Type B outlets receiving 3-prongs designed specifically to ensure a ground, may not always have been installed/wired correctly to ground. Use a simple standard 120V receptacle ground tester (found online or at most hardware stores) to confirm your outlets are properly wired for ground.
